Fender amp stand11/23/2023 ![]() If that amp is blasting straight at your ears, you might be deaf lol The venue you are playing at might not have microphones so you need to dial up the volume.By focusing on the mids and highs, your guitar sound helps the overall band music to sound better. This reason for the non concern is that you do not want a strong bass to fight with your drums or bass guitarists. Might be an issue for the bass players but if you are not, then this is not a concern. It might still happen on a stand but less so. Stage might be unstable so any kind of movement or the drums might disturb the reverbs of the amp.The mics wouldn’t be able to pick the guitar amp so that pounds the accuracy problem, which in turns worsens the increase volume problem. You will hear mostly the bass and mids so you will think the note is flatter than it actually is.Everyone on the stage as well as the audience will be getting their ears blasted.Sound is aiming at your feet and you tend to overcompensate by upping the volume and treble. In contrast, having the amp on the floor means you need to up the volume and this might cause hearing distress on your audience. On the stand, the amp is projecting sound directly towards you so it is clearer and doesn’t need high volume. The difference between amp on stand vs floor is where the sound is directed. Height settings: Have different height settings so that you ca easily adjust to the height that suits you.Compact: I want something compact so that it can be stored away easily.Different amp stands accommodates different kinds of amp. Fits well: This is why getting the right stand for your particular amp brand is important.Sturdy: That is the most important as you want your amp to be rock solid.Things to look out for when buying an amp stand It is pretty easy to do so though so make sure you don’t make this mistake. That is because they have set up the stand upside down. I have watched videos where the stand seems to topple easily. Side note: you need to set up the amp stand correctly. It is a bit of work, which is why I didnt’ get this even though it is 50% cheaper than the other 2. To avoid this, you will need to reverse the it supports the way. The only problem is that it tits pretty far away so an amp with an open back might fall through. Music Gear Deluxe: A cheaper alternative is this brand, which can hold up to 150 lbs.The reason I picked the Onstage model is just because I saw more reviews using Fender than Gator so I feel safer buying this. This is also very solid and steady with a good fit for a Fender Blues Junior. ![]() Gator Framework: There is really very little difference between the Onstage and Gator amp stand.Currently, I am using the lowest setting to make the amp more secure. In the past, I need to bend down to adjust the amp and this can potentially damage the guitar if I am not mindful of it. Once it up, I can read the displays and buttons more easily. Onstage RS7000: It holds well to small sized amp well so a Fender Blues Junior will be pretty comfortable fitting it.There are 3 amp stand brands that I trust with my Fender Blues amps.
